WHAT IS IT SENSUAL BACHATA?
Sensual bachata was created in Cádiz, Andalusia, Spain, by Korke Escalona and Judith Cordero.

Korke learned the basics of bachata in 1998; then he started developing his own dance style by understanding how the leader (traditionally a man) could lead the body of the follower (traditionally a woman) to interpret the music. Sensual bachata is an independent dance form with strict lead and follow principles. The dance is an interpretation of the music with mostly circular movements and body waves. When the music has stronger beats, however, the dance also uses isolations and dips.

Code of Conduct/ Etiquette:

Arrive at the class in clean clothes and having washed and used deodorant, and with fresh breath.
Pay attention to teachers and don’t talk while they’re explaining moves.
Be mindful of your partners’ personal space, approaching with respect.
If your partner allows you to dance close, do not abuse that privilege. Keep your hands in a respectful place.
Focus on your dance partner and not the person you will be dancing with next.
Respect the level of your partner, and do not teach them or try tricky moves beyond their level.
When dancing socially, watch out for fellow dancers – especially with hand throws and dips. If your lead is going backwards and about to collide with someone, give them a warning squeeze on the shoulder.
Feel free to say no if you feel uncomfortable dancing with anyone.

*Each event participant thereby agrees and is obliged to respect the Code of Conduct or be denied entry,

If you notice something not right please communicate with myself or one of the members of our team, big hug Jan and The Team ✌️💚
